Enjoying Every Minute!

When I was pregnant people always told me, Enjoy every minute cause they grow up really fast. From many things that I've heard from other moms, this was the most true that I've experienced so far. I can't believe how time has gone by fast! I look at my boy and I ask myself how can this be? Not long ago he was just a little baby! So as I rock him to fall sleep, I keep recalling those times when I was sitting at the same chair breastfeeding him.... he was so small and fragile. Now here I have a boy who wants me to sing, who says mais (more) when I stop singing, who expresses his discontent when I change the song by repeting mais over and over until I start singing again the same song. This boy even notices when I change the lyrics:  he lifts up his head from my chest and with his small fingers touches my mouth. He keeps touching (more like poking) it and saying mais until I sing the original song....  they grow up really fast. Since we got back from CA, he has having a hard time to fall sleep by himself. He was a pro in sleeping solo before. Now he cries. He wants to cuddle, or even to sleep with us. And though its tiring it's been gratifying cause it has reminded me to enjoy every minute...

And as I rock and sing to him in a hope he will fall sleep soon, he slowly reaches my lips and gives me a sweet kiss... He then melts into my arms and falls in a deep sleep.

He loves eating apples! He eats the whole thing without any help.

Another Cincinnati Bengals Fan(atic)

My hubby is a big fan of Cincinnati Bengals (and so is his dad). Even out of the country he still manages to watch all the games. He got a NFL deal and is able to watch the games online. He learned from his dad the passion for the team and is teaching Nicholas the same. You can see it through the pics that one more fan(atic) has been born!

PS: Nicholas chose the orange shirt.... no I'm joking! But the orange shirt was just a coincidence. Only after taking the pics that I noticed how he was dressed to the occasion :)

Touchdown!!!!!!
Dude, what happened???
Father and son spending time together.... priceless!
Look at the excitement of Nicholas' face!

To my Son

Life is Better with You

Is this feeling real? Cause sometimes I feel I'm dreaming and I don't want to wake up.
When I look at your smile my heart melts and all the troubles melt with it.
You are my everyday joy that warms my heart.
Have I told you how much I love you? Yes many times!
And so have you, through hugs and kisses, calling for mama every time we're apart.
My sweet boy, thanks for brightening up my day and giving me a reason to say: I love you!
Cause the truth is life is better with you.

My typical mom-to-be dreams became a sweet reality.
And all the fears that once existed faded away.
The no life after kids. Or what about my me time?
They all are gone as you little by little guide me in a way
that there is no other way to say,
Cause the truth is life is better with you.

And when the hard times come,
When nothing seems to satisfy your little heart
but only mommy's presence will do,
I remind myself of the feeling from the start.
When I look at you that is my clue,
Life is better with you.

So as I write down these words to say
Thank You God for my wonderful boy,
I wonder if one day,
you will read it and enjoy
the truth that is:
Life is always better with you.

Todos con Lorca: La Isla, Aguilas

Last Wednesday we had a concert to get some funds to help out the city of Lorca that suffered the earthquake couple months ago. We had many talented people from cities around that sang beautifully. We were all there, worshiping God and praying for Lorca. Our theatre group from church also was able to perform their skit and they did a wonderful job!!!!
